IT Project Manager - To ensure the effective delivery of business value from IT projects. Work with Business Solution Managers, Application Specialists and Business Analysts to turn business requirements into deliverable IT projects across Land Business units as required. Deliver IT projects that enable stakeholder and customer needs to be successfully met.

Responsibilities

  • Implement structured project management processes (across the capability domains) to ensure the effective delivery of business value from IT projects
  • Assembling project plans, budgets and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review and escalating functional, quality, budget and timeline issues appropriately.
  • Establish key relationships within the IS PMO to enable the support of LAND project delivery and resource attribution
  • Tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet stakeholder and customer needs including change control.
  • Maintain a full set of high quality documentation, as required by the LAND IT Project Management Processes, for each project
  • Effective coordination and communication with all areas of the business that impact the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work being managed
  • Ensuring solution designs are compliant with the Standard Technology framework
  • Be an active member of a Project and Governance function and provide support to the Solution and Innovation, Service and Application Management functions as necessary
  • Ensure project expenditure and costs are managed, controlled and in line within approved budgets and agreed tolerance
  • International Travel will be required with regular overnight stays as required

Key Skills

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of implementing and delivering large projects in complex environments to Cost, Time and Quality using both Waterfall and Agile Methodologies
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of current and emerging IT technologies in the Engineering, Asset Management and Training domains and associated technologies and solutions including web/ mobile, social and data, reporting and BI solutions
  • Able to work effectively independently and within a matrix / virtual team environment
  • Broad experience of working collaboratively and sharing knowledge across the IT function, Land, its BUs and Group.
  • Sound business and IT acumen. Demonstrable experience of turning business requirements into IT solutions through an actionable project plan and key stakeholder engagement
  • Experience of working under pressure, across a multi discipline and capability operating environment. Excellent time management skills.
  • Microsoft Project power user. Experienced user of Microsoft Project Server and MS office tools.
  • Highly skilled in forecasting and planning of resources
  • Background of operating in Support Services / Outsourcing industries, ideally with experience of the Engineering, Asset Management and Training environments
  • Educated to Degree level, within a relevant IT, business or management discipline, Recognised Project Management qualification.
  • Full driving licence
