This global organisation are the leading source of information and mass media insights, providing intelligent information to businesses and professionals worldwide. They are looking to hire an Indirect Tax Manager to provide advice to the legal, tax & accounting business, to be based in Central London

You will have an international remit, joining a truly global function, acting as an indirect tax SME to the EMEA and APAC regions.

Ideally you will have experience in indirect tax advisory up to manager level, whether this experience be built up in practice, industry or a mix of both.

About your new role

Key duties will include:

  • Providing indirect tax advice to Legal, Tax & Accounting business and Global Statutory Reporting team for EMEA and AsiaPac regions.
  • Provision of indirect tax support for M&A activities.
  • Liaising with external advisors as and when required in respect of the filing obligations, changes in legislation or business projects.
  • Management of and assistance with indirect tax audits where applicable
  • Work with businesses to improve controls and procedures around the management of indirect taxes to reduce risks.
  • Raise awareness of indirect tax across the businesses through workshops and adhoc training.
  • Support the Head of International Indirect Tax in monitoring all indirect tax changes affecting our businesses and work with the business to ensure changes implemented on time.
  • Assist and work closely with the accounting teams focus on continuous improvement of indirect tax coding and reporting.

About you

  • Comprehensive knowledge of indirect tax matters, with international exposure.
  • Practical experience working with multinational organization
  • Experience in Big4 chartered firm - desirable
  • Experience in tax advisory matters for mergers & acquisitions - desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels in the hierarchy
  • Proficient in using MS Excel, with the ability to pick up new platforms quickly
