Incident & Problem Manager

The Problem Management Team proactively prevent the reoccurrence of incidents, Problems and Known Errors through detailed Trend Analysis and Post Mortems, The team actively look at incidents and is broken down into three key components, Problem Control, Error Control and Trend Analysis.

Tasks:

- Ensure that all relevant parties are kept informed of number and status of problems
- Ensure that all Problem reports are kept up to date and issues escalated as required
- Chair regular problem forums to be held with the client and internal teams with issued discussed, impact understood and resolutions scheduled or mitigations considered

Technologies:

- ClearQuest
- EARS

Skills:

- Strong understanding of business drivers & the ability to help develop potential mitigations acceptable to the business where the defect cannot be fixed
- Good written and oral communication
- An analysis background such as Requirements or Test would be an advantage
