ICT Support Engineer - Infrastructure

Work Location: Cumbria

Shift Work: Working in 5 cycle, 12-hour shift rotas

The successful individual must be SC Cleared eligible.

We are actively looking to secure numerous experienced ICT Infrastructure Engineers to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

Client Description:

Our client is a global leader in digital transformation. They are also number one in Europe regarding Cloud, Cybersecurity and High-Performance Computing, providing end-to-end Orchestrated Hybrid Cloud, Big Data, Business applications and Digital Workplace solutions through our Digital Transformation Factory.

Our client is seeking experienced ICT Infrastructure Engineers to join a 15-person IT support team, who are responsible for ICT integrity within a secure Command and Control facility. They are looking for individuals with working knowledge and experience of the following manufacturers equipment:

  • Dell/EMC Enterprise Storage Arrays support and management
  • Cisco Networking infrastructure (Switches, Routers) support and management
  • HPE X86 Severs including Industry Standard DL Servers
  • Blade Chassis/management
  • x86 Desktop/Laptop support and management
  • ITSM/ITIL Foundation
  • Basic Microsoft Office
  • ServiceNow
  • VMWare Virtualisation
  • System Backup and Restore

Job Responsibilities and Experience:

  • Previous experience and working knowledge of named manufacturers equipment (HP, Dell/EMC, Cisco) in order to investigate technical issues, run diagnostics and interpret manufacturers management tools, to determine route cause and resolve technical problems.
  • Experience in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and ITSM (IT Service Management) industry best practice
  • Capable of undertaking manufacturers patching regimes and proactive remedial work to ensure infrastructure integrity
