About the role

Here at Babcock International we are recruiting for a HSE Systems Coordinator to join the team, ensuring the HSE systems function correctly to support the Land Sector business operations.

You will liaise with Group IS and the HSE system supplier to ensure all system errors are rectified promptly and monitor the quality of the HSE System event entries to ensure all relevant information is recorded accurately.

You will also develop administration rules and processes for all HSE System users and produce accident statistics and reports for Babcock Group and the Land Sector Business Units. As well as manage the diary of the Land Sector HSE Director i.e. arrange appointments, meetings, site visits and travel.

You will be responsible for supporting the Land Sector Central HSE Team with arranging audits, inspections, site visits and meetings as required, and providing training on the use of the event HSE recording and reporting system to users across all contracts/sites in the Land Sector

Other responsibilities include;

  • Responsibility for the day to day management of the HSE incident management system used by the Land Sector business.
  • Monitor the HSE recording and reporting system to ensure BIG and Land Sector standards are met
  • Ensuring that incident reports held on the HSE recording and reporting system are complete and accurate.
  • Ensuring that the observations and non-conformances identified are tracked and appropriate action taken.
  • Produce statistical reports for Land Sector Board, Business Units and Contract/sites as required.
  • Assist in developing the HSE recording and reporting system processes and procedures to ensure the systems is consistent, efficient and effective, including coordination with Supply Chain processes and procedures.
  • Compliance checking and monitoring of the HSE recording and reporting system.
  • Liaise with the BU HSE Leads to ensure that actions arising from investigations are completed within the agreed time.
  • Proactively engaging with the area and site HSE teams to ensure the completion of incident records in the HSE system.

What do I need to do the role?

You will have previous experience of producing statistical & business reports, excellent IT skills especially in the use of Excel, and strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and a willingness to learn new skills / take on new challenges.
