HR Project Manager

£50-60k plus Car, Pension and Flex Benefits

Portsmouth - UK travel required

Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client a leading Engineering Support Services business for a number of experienced HR Project / Business Partner professionals to deliver HR change across one of their major operating divisions.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows -

  • Act as lead HR interface for all people transitions both in and out of the division
  • Be primary HR interface into the commercial bid teams during the tender process
  • Deliver strategic HR approach to bids, acquisitions and people transitions to maximise cost effectiveness and risk management during the bid management phase
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the provision of HR collateral associated with tender responses and processes
  • Accountable for the accuracy, timelines and quality of HR responses during tenders ensuring consistency of approach across the division
  • Plan, manage and seamlessly execute people transitions both in and out of the company whilst minimising associated risk
  • Carry out due diligence and provide an accurate and timely cost model for the purposes of future contract costings and profit
  • Review all contractual arrangements associated with the people aspects of a proposal, and make recommendations for consideration by the client to protect the organisational position
  • Develop client, trade union, employee representative and individual transferee relationships during the consultation process, establishing agreements where necessary for positive future partnerships
  • Comply with divisional approach to managing change programmes to ensure consistency of approach, compliance and maximise the people experience whilst minimising risk within the business

The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • Ideally MCIPD certified or willing to attain certification
  • Experience in planning and managing large scale and complex HR change programmes
  • Demonstrable experience of providing specialist HR input to business tenders and in managing the seamless transition of people in and out of a company
  • Experience in conducting due diligence exercises, costing the information gathered and developing terms and conditions proposal in a transfer scenario
  • Must be able to review contractual clauses associated with people aspects of a proposal and make recommendations in order to protect the organisational position
  • Experience with Trade Unions or Employee Representatives
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law
  • Must have good mobility to travel regularly including occasional overnight stays
  • Able to gain and maintain UK SC level clearance
