HR Manager - Supply Chain (Manufacturing/Engineering)

3-6 month contract


£25-£30 p/h

Role Summary:

Working as part of the site HR team for a large manufacturing and engineering organisation, the Supply Chain HR Manager will provide HR support for client group Leaders, Managers and Employees on organizational and employee matters, as well as coaching, HR process expertise and other general HR activities. Individuals in this category act as the HR Manager of record for a client group. Positions requiring thorough understanding and application of approaches, theories, methodologies and application in a concrete organizational context.

Key Activities:

  • A first point of contact for employees & managers who provides leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processes.
  • Advises Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures
  • Provide advice & counsel to management and employees to ensure consistent application & integration of policies, procedures, and practices
  • Lead client organizations in the development of the annual reviews, organization structure development, job design, staffing, compensation, engagement initiatives and organization change / effectiveness
  • Partner with business leaders on multiple human resource issues, including the following: Policies, legislation, processes, & practices; Evaluation, coaching & development of personnel; Development of compensation plans; Implementation of process improvement (Six Sigma / Lean), including leading change initiatives, planning, and facilitation; Talent pipeline development; Org Development


  • Provide leadership for the development and execution of organization vision and structure, including development and execution of a communication plan to ensure that effective two-way communication takes place
  • Assure that appropriate training opportunities are provided to employees to further personal, career, and organizational development
  • Investigate and provide counsel / advice regarding concerns about contractual issues (when applicable)
  • Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; Act as an employee advocate; Help drive various corporate and division business initiatives
  • Identify recruiting needs, and work with recruiting business partners and clients to source, select and on-board high quality candidates
  • Drive HR processes such as regular People Review, Salary Planning, Organizational Effectiveness and Performance Development
  • Responsible for investigations, conflict resolution, employee communications and management coaching
  • Work on site wide People objectives, in support of business objectives and strategy

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge & experience.
  • Some years of experience in Employee Human Resource Management
  • CIPD accreditation or equivalent level of experience
