I am recruiting a HR Manager to work for a FTSE 250 Support Services Organisation across the South of England. This role functions within their Central Functions for their Aviation Sector and provides vital services for key clients, such as the Royal Air Force.

After their UK Military Air contract has now developed into a regional service, I am recruiting for a HR Manager to join the team. While travelling around the South of England on a regular basis, you will be responsible for providing support to the Head of HR to further the achievement of the UK Military Air contract objectives and improvements to operational performance.


  • Work closely with the Head of HR in the delivery of initiatives that support the achievement of the business objectives.
  • Consistently ensure that the HR service for which they are responsible has the capability and capacity to support the regional requirement.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with managers whilst providing professional HR advice, guidance, tools and support necessary to help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Ensure complex employee relations issues are effectively managed; ensuring risk, commercial considerations and business needs are taken into account.
  • Mentor, coach and develop managers to improve performance
  • Support local organisational development, manpower planning and the achievement of business objectives.
  • Responsible for the development and timely reporting of local management information.
  • Manage budgeted resource levels and headcount, through appropriate challenge of local management requests.
  • Ensure the workplace is an environment where the principles of dignity, respect and health & safety are observed and adopted by management and staff at all levels.

Ideal requirements

  • CIPD Qualification would be desirable.
  • Experience of working within a HR environment.
  • Knowledge of operational HR issues.
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise own workload.
  • Proven management or leadership experience.
