HR Business Partner (International)


£50,000 - £60,000

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Business Partner to join a leading global Defence, Technology & Security organisation. This role is based in the UK (Hampshire/Surrey), but due to the geographical spread of our organisation, this position will involve occasional international travel

Deliver the HR strategy to meet key business objectives

Collaborate with key stakeholders to proactively identify areas where HR can add value

Create solutions in support of strategic goals, operational performance and develop organisational and people capability, across a variety of UK and international subsidiary businesses

You will create the right environment for people to realise their potential across the business

Due to the geographical spread of our organisation, this position will involve some UK, Middle East, US and Canadian travel. This is a great opportunity to see and understand the work we do and build relationships with key stakeholder from the very start

Key Accountabilities

Business and Commercial Leadership:

Collaborate within the business to fully understand the key business performance indicators, objectives and drivers, and associated people requirements for both the current and future business challenges. Varying advice between established business and new start up business with different needs and stages in development

Take a proactive approach and provide solutions to business and commercial challenges, and also work with the business across multiple sites to establish the best business model for the business (such as partnerships, and overseas developments)

Take a lead in developing international resourcing and reward strategies for direct local hire, global moves and succession and talent mapping and implement these.

Provide creative input for enhancing business performance with particular focus on employee engagement levels and leadership

Provide solutions and expertise to achieve business restructuring and acquisitions


You must have a background of working at HR BP level with America (USA) and/or Canada

Strong stakeholder management skills will be essential

You must also have a background of working with multi-site and multi-functional teams

If you have experience working in a technical industry/environment this would be beneficial
