HR Advisor - 32-35k - Portsmouth - FTSE100 Global Orgainsation - 12 Month fixed Term Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Advisor to join a prestigious FTSE 100 Engineering company based in Portsmouth. The HR specilaist will focus on implementing process improvement and driving continuous improvement. This exciting opportunity will give you the opportunity to develop whilst working for a FTSE 100 global organisation.

Role and responsibilities include:

Employee Relations/ Reward

  • Implement new processes as required including developing process maps, templates, guidance notes, line manager comms, HR community comms etc
  • Quality control the existing processes and templates
  • Support HRBPs with the communication/upskilling of line managers in HR processes
  • Monitor Quality data/reports from HR Admin teams, identify issues & trends. Make recommendations and implement changes to improve First Time Quality
  • Working with Team Leader colleagues, set and deliver the Business Plan for the department. Delegating responsibilities to the team as appropriate
  • Create an environment to engender a High Performing Team culture
  • Create a Continuous Improvement culture across the department
  • Ensure all team members have appropriate skills and knowledge to effectively deliver their role
  • Measure the performance of the team and performance manage individuals as appropriate
  • Coach and mentor team members to achieve their potential
  • Maintain accurate systems information within scope of role and in line with current GDPR legislation

In order to be considered you will ideally have the following:

  • Thorough knowledge of HR policy & procedures
  • Process mapping
  • Professional, customer orientated and flexible approach
  • Takes responsibility and demonstrates initiative
  • Able to drive standards/improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and deliver in a complex environment
  • Able to build rapport and maintain relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and rectify mistakes
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work well in a team
