I am recruiting a HR Administrator to work for a FTSE 250 Engineering Support Services Organisation in Portsmouth and this role functions within their Shared Services Centre. You will be responsible for specific administrative tasks and supporting the HR Shared Services Function with payroll actions.


  • Managing shared inbox.
  • Management of Remedy system.
  • Take calls and assist with queries.
  • Creation of positions and job requisitions.
  • Respond to reference requests from other employers and from financial institutions.
  • Perform mail merges for pay reviews, auto-enrolment and other HR Admin actions.
  • Ensure all employee information is processed accurately.
  • Process all requests effectively, accurately and efficiently in accordance with procedures.
  • Observe all Data Protection and IAMM requirements regarding confidentiality and security.
  • Opening post and distributing it accordingly amongst the team.

Ideal requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English at C or above.
  • Experience of working within a HR environment.
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise own workload.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of information.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and its applications, including ability to create, maintain and manipulate spreadsheets.
