This global organisation in the engineering services sector are looking to hire a Hospitality Manager to join their extensive team at HMNB Clyde, Helensburgh.

You will be responsible for leading the effective delivery of Catering, Hospitality, Accommodation, Hospitality and Event management, as well as Retail and Leisure services in a number of outlets across this large defence site.

About your new role

You will be required to manage a budget of circa £10m, lead a team of circa 130 people to deliver excellence in customer service.

Your team will deliver an average of 35,000 meals monthly ranging from formal dining to self-service dining, 90 events a year which range from 18 formal banqueting style functions to smaller private dining events as well as supporting conferences.

You will be required to develop and implement the Hospitality, Catering and Retail strategy for the Clyde Business unit.

Managing the budget will involve regular review to controls costs, increase revenue and prioritise spend across all areas of the department.

Key areas also include:

  • Contract Catering
  • Resource planning
  • Budgeting and financial control, including P&L and inventory
  • Management reporting
  • Business performance management and continuous improvement
  • H&S legislation
  • Market sector knowledge and marketing
  • Stakeholder / relationship management

About you

  • HND qualification in Hospitality or equivalent
  • Experienced manager within hospitality / leisure industry or similar
  • Passionate and effective leader of people
  • MS Office proficient, in particular MS Excel
  • Experienced with budget management, P&L's, inventory control etc.
  • Must be able to obtain SC level security clearance
