HIU Engineer - Heat Interface Unit, Maintenance, Plumbing, Electrician

We are actively looking to secure an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join Experis.

Job Purpose

We require a Maintenance Engineer to join the team here at Experis, working onsite with one of our UK's top leading Energy suppliers clients based around London.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the identification and implementation of improvements to all areas
  • Determine the scheduling of maintenance activities to minimise contract labour requirements.
  • Deliver maintenance to meet and exceed business KPI's.
  • Deliver and support analysis issues, providing expert technical advice to the Maintenance Team Leader to assist in the decision making process.
  • Contract/contractor management, ensuring appropriate safety assessments have been completed and performance is optimised.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Desirable - HNC/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent along with significant expertise in general engineering principles, with expertise in a specialist skill area - C&I, Mechanical or Electrical.
  • Domestic gas boiler experience
  • Basic plumbing knowledge
  • The ability to innovate and appropriately challenge existing processes to improve efficiency
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear knowledge of safety practices and management.
  • The capability and willingness to achieve the clients required competency levels - Safe System of Work (SSOW), Contractor Safety and Engagement (CSE).
  • Competent in hazard identification, risk assessment and management of risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
