Head of the CIO Office sought by an industry leader in the field of Digital Healthcare and Medical Technology.

Our client is a fast-growing business operating at the cutting-edge of the field of MedTech. Following a successful period of business transformation, they are now expanding at pace. As part of this growth they are looking to appoint a Head of the CIO Office to act as a trusted advisor and delivery partner to help drive and facilitate digital transformation.

This is a highly varied role, with responsibilities including:

  • Supporting the CIO in shaping and running Technology Services, deputising as appropriate.
  • Heading-up Delivery Management, establishing ways of delivering effective and transparently to both time and budget.
  • Budgetary responsibility for modelling and managing Technology spend, including working across the business to understand both actual spend, and future needs and capacity. Also working with Finance and Procurement to refresh the Supply Chain as the organisation moves into a new phase of delivery and operating.
  • Sign-off accountability for Agile work packages with external vendors, ensuring value and benefits.
  • Portfolio management, identifying dependencies and gaps to enable proactive resolution.
  • Working with HR and other Execs to help drive organisational change and a revised operating model.
  • Continuous communication of vision, objectives and milestones, both internally as well as with external partners and stakeholders.

  • Business technology professional, excited to take a lead role in shaping and running a business at the start of a transformation journey.
  • Broad skills and expertise a covering Programme/Portfolio management, Financial Control and reporting, Vendor evaluation and management, and organisational design and change management.
  • Passion for Cloud-based Digital Technology, especially in relation to AI/ML and Healthcare, along with a track-record in Agile ways-of-working and Tech-driven Service Delivery.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking, creativity, planning, project and process management with operations and administrative execution.
  • The ability to work at pace in an ambiguous and fast-changing environment with a bias for execution.
  • Low-ego collaborator with confidence in managing upwards and challenging as required.
  • High-emotional intelligence and empathy with an excited and optimistic attitude.
  • First-class written, verbal, and visual communication skills along with excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills.
