My Client is seeking a Head of Digital. This role requires an exceptional individual to put user centred design at the forefront of the clients digital transformation. You will have strong stakeholder management experience and be a strong influencer, you'll be given the scope to set the direction for what good interaction design looks like. You'll use your extensive leadership experience to co-ordinate interaction design across the whole department, and represent your professional community.

Key skills and experience

  • building new digital services as part of a cross-disciplinary agile development team
  • designing for complex user journeys across different devices, platforms, tools and transnational services
  • designing accessible services, and the challenges of designing for a diverse audience
  • solving complex problems and concepts, and makes disciplined decisions based on research evidence
  • applying technical knowledge and experience to create and test workable prototypes
  • enabling design within the given constraints (including but not limited to technology, policy, regulatory, financial, legal, social user constraints) and to challenge constraints that can be changed
  • prototyping in code and demonstrate a deep knowledge of modern web standards and development practice
  • creating a continually collaborative environment, that can sustain good services
  • working in a fast paced, evolving environment and utilises an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery
  • applying an agile mind-set through all aspects of your work
  • convincing stakeholders of the value of design and to take a user-centred approach, based on evidence

You'll also need:

  • experience of growing skills in team members, supervising the work of others, helping coach other designers
  • to be a proven and inspiring leader who instills confidence in others
  • to have a degree in design, human-computer interaction or relevant industry experience.
