HEAD OF BUSINESS CHANGE - LONDON - £600/£800 - 6 Months

The work location is in LONDON and is a 6 months contract.

Pay rate is between £600 - £800 per day.

The role is working for a well established, multi-national retailer and specialises in clothing, home and luxury product.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Developing cultural change interventions that will drive the transformation, based on extensive experience of implementing cultural and behavioural change
  • Developing and delivering a holistic change strategy to deliver the transformation plan for Clothing & Home
  • Creating a compelling narrative and change story which connects a number of separate but connected initiatives, ensuring the story resonates with colleagues across the group and leading associated communications
  • Develop and maintain Change Roadmap and manage associated risks and issues
  • Leading business change efforts across all initiatives, ensuring a consistent approach across the group
  • Developing business change strategies for initiatives and executing these, either through others or independently (e.g. stakeholder mapping, change impact assessments, engagement and communications planning and execution, business readiness checks)
  • Coaching project and programme colleagues, business sponsors and leaders and people managers on the importance of change management, and improving the group wide capability to manage and support others through change
  • Develop and deliver relevant change interventions, assessing the best intervention for each situation
  • Work with the Heads of HR across the group to ensure change approach is tailored to the requirements of each business area and local risks and opportunities are identified and addressed
  • Work in conjunction with L&D to develop the learning tools to support the cultural change and the transformation initiatives
  • Work with the C&H Business Implementation and Change Lead to ensure that the system, process and ways of working changes connected with Fuse and Supply Chain Development are linked to the cultural change plan.
  • Partner the C&H Colleague Comms Partners to ensure the transformation narrative is embedded across all our communication
  • Define the key metrics to assess the success of change interventions and initiatives, monitor these on an ongoing basis and continually reassess the plan to ensure they are achieved
  • Analyse multiple sources of data and insight (e.g. Your Survey, Crowdoscope, dashboards, BIG etc) to identify issues and blockers, taking action to resolve and address the feedback
  • Work with Change leads from across the business to share best practice and align efforts to drive the corporate transformation plan

Key skills and experience

  • Extensive experience of delivering transformational change using a range of change management methodologies and techniques
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • A strong people manager and developer with a proven track record in developing change management capabilities within organisations
  • A high-level understanding of the business area roles and functions - previous experience in a clothing retailer would be advantageous
  • Proficient at prioritising and managing a diverse workload of projects and initiatives
  • Curious, with an interest in process and 'how things work'
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in fast paced, ambiguous and challenging environments
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills
