HSE Manager-Reporting & Communications

£50,000 per annum

Car allowance and 10% Bonus

37 hrs/wk, Mon-Fri

Permanent, Full-time

I am recruiting an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Manager to work with a FTSE 100 Engineering Support Services Organisation. This role offers a significant opportunity to influence proactive HSE improvements and build a positive HSE culture.


  • Design and implement "fit for purpose" communications and sharing processes that are consistent with the current divisional culture and promote strong learning and repeat incident prevention
  • With the Technical Manager, ensure that the Divisional "learning from experience" processes are similarly robust and supported by an appropriate intranet site
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with key functional and operational stakeholders to ensure there is consistent recording of incidents to promote effective learning, to prevent repeat incidents and learn from our mistakes
  • Develop effective communication to enable the efficient production of all HSE reporting
  • Support the Head of HSE Systems to promote and communicate their strategies and initiatives across the Division
  • Devise audit processes to ensure that all divisions are consistent with their briefing and alert notices

Required Experience / Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH certificate
  • Experience of working in an engineering environment is highly desirable, ideally within a defence environment
  • Experience of internal reporting systems (preferable AIRSWEB)
  • Proficient with MS Office software, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Accurate and concise with information provided
  • Enthusiastic with a can do attitude
