Group Planning and Performance Manager

FTSE 100 Global Organisation - £67,000

A rapidly expanding FTSE 100 organisation are looking to take on a Planning and Performance manager to work in their head office in London's West End

The Planning and Performance Manager will work closely with the head of group planning and performance for setting, managing and enabling the functional performance for the group.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows -

  • Supporting the functional capability agenda, including programme, evaluation and ongoing improvements.
  • Enhance capability of the group wide function via a Group led development and training strategy & programme.
  • Benchmarking & networking - establishing what does good look like in other industry/sectors and how Babcock can benefit and realise value.
  • Group wide communications strategy - develop and implement a strategic approach to managing communications across the function and wider business.
  • Governance & Board reporting - Content development for board reports including, Executive Committee, Audit Committee, Procurement Governance Board.
  • Contract performance and supplier management of Group suppliers.
  • Group talent management programme - working with Business units to assess, review and pro-actively manage risks & opportunities.
  • Group Category Management support, ensuring the 5 key categories share best practice and learnings and responsible for driving continuous improvement in the category processes and procedures.
  • Any other duties as deemed as necessary.

Knowledge, Qualification and Experience:

  • Business, Financial, Supply Chain Management or Technical (engineering) degree
  • MCIPS or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in either Procurement & Supply Chain, Learning & Development or Communications environment
  • Proven success of working in decentralised organisations
  • Proven experience in planning and performance management of organisations
  • Proven experience in supporting Transformation programmes

Skills & Competencies - technical

  • Knowledge and understanding of Procurement practices, including:
    • Supply Base optimisation
    • Strategic Sourcing
    • Supply Risk Management
    • Contract Management
    • Supplier Performance Management
    • Supplier Relationship Management

Skills & Competencies - Interpersonal /Behavioural

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and influencing skills
  • Executive report writing and presentations skills
  • Strong track record in project management
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Delivery focused
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting workload and demands
