Group Management Accountant - Farnborough - Competitive Salary and Benefits

We are looking to recruit a Group Management Accountant to work on a permanent basis for a market leading global business based in the South East.

The role requires a professional individual to join the business as a Group Management Accountant to manage the consolidation of the businesses monthly financial results and prepare monthly management reports to senior management.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Ensure integrity of the Hyperion financial consolidation/reporting system and Group consolidated reporting models.
  • Become the Group's expert for use of Hyperion.
  • Own the consolidation of the Group's results (specifically the central consolidation adjustments required when operating in a multi-currency group).
  • Prepare the monthly management accounts.
  • Work with the Group Reporting Accountant and Group Financial Controller to continuously improve the monthly close process.
  • Work with the Group Reporting team to deliver the annual and half year financial statements including press releases, accounts and analyst presentations.
  • Project work including contributing to the further development of finance systems and processes.

Desired skills and attributes:

  • The candidate will be a qualified or nearly qualified chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA);
  • Good degree or equivalent educational attainment or experience to demonstrate educational standard.
  • Must have experience of preparation of group consolidations and be proficient in use of consolidation reporting software. Expertise in Hyperion would be advantageous.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively interact with other members of the Finance community and with non-Finance individuals within the business.
  • Good interpersonal skills. (Will be interacting with senior management/directors)
  • A committed team player.
  • High degree of energy, commitment and integrity.
  • Sense of humour, with grace under pressure and ability to deliver on tight reporting deadlines.
