My client, an IT company based near Oxford, is currently seeking an FP&A Manager to join their group finance function on a 4 month interim contract.
You should ideally be immediately available or on a maximum of 2 weeks' notice.

Job Purpose

The role is a key part of the Group Finance function responsible for group forecasting and budgeting, oversight of cash management, support during the year end audit and various other ad hoc tasks.

The Group FP&A Manager leads & supports the planning & forecasting, providing timely, accurate and relevant information to the Executive Directors and senior managers throughout the Group. The FP&A Manager is also responsible for oversight of cash management and the outsourced Treasury team, based in India.
It will entail a high degree of commercial interaction with the Group's business units. This role is key to developing a consistent approach to planning & forecasting across the Group.

Main Responsibilities

· Leading the annual group budgeting process
· Preparing the 3 year budget presentation for the Board
· Stakeholder management during the budgeting process
· Set timetable and ensure agreed deadlines are met
· Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by the Board

Monthly group forecasting preparation and review
· Consolidation and review of divisional submissions using the 3 year forecast model
· Ensure inter-group and one-off transactions are identified and appropriately treated in the model
· Continue to improve forecast model and suggest areas for automation and increased resilience of processes
· Group analysis as required

Cash management
· Cash forecasting
· Overseeing outsourced treasury team
· Maintaining the treasury control environment
· Quarterly bank covenant compliance
· Hedging
· Banking transaction authorisation
· Day to day relationships with banks
· Year end audit support in areas relevant to the role
· Ad hoc banking tasks

Ad-Hoc Projects
· Supporting the CFO, central finance team and other stakeholders to assist with business operations and decisions

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

· Degree educated
· Qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years business related experience
· Management experience
· Excellent Excel skills
· Strong analytical & problem solving skills
· Strong communication and negotiation skills
· Good presentation skills
· Forecasting experience
