Role: Graduate and Future Talent Manager

Location: London

Duration: 3 - 6 months

My Client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Graduate and Future Talent Manager to join the graduate and early years programme. This will be around a 3-6 month project based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing an engaging and useful induction programme which will ensure the graduates are integrated into the company and have the corporate tools and understanding of where to find information to be fully effective from day one. Continuously review the effectiveness of the graduate induction and revise as necessary
  • Creating an engagement programme and rhythm of communication with our graduate population to ensure they are engaged, informed and have a feedback loop to the graduate team
  • Reviewing and working with our academy team developing graduate specific training, identifying providers, and opportunities to utilise the apprenticeship levy where appropriate. Continuously reviewing the development programme to measure its effectiveness
  • Developing, deploying and reviewing the effectiveness of the mentoring programme
  • Working with our talent management colleagues managing the regular HR timetable for our graduate population to include performance reviews, pay reviews and promotions
  • Continuously review our graduate reward packages utilising market intelligence, and making appropriate recommendations in line with business requirements
  • Ensuring managers of graduates understand how to nurture and get the best out of early career talent, providing training, workshops and coaching as necessary
  • Working with senior leaders and other colleagues in the graduate team to raise the profiles of graduates and the benefits of employing graduates both internally and externally.

Skills and competencies

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and competencies:

  • Graduate program management experience in a similar role, cohort management - either graduates or apprenticeships - experience needs to cover engagement not just development of graduates
  • Experience working in a STEM industry and understanding how to retain talent in this industry would be advantageous
  • Understanding of apprenticeships and the apprenticeship levy.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, able to multi-task and prioritise work at busy times.
  • Resilient under pressure and adaptable to change.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience of working with senior employees / stakeholders.
