I recruit for a FTSE 250 Organisation who offers Engineering Support Services to the Royal Navy who are looking to recruit an Early Careers Advisor to work within the Human Resources Function. The post holder will work with the EC team and stakeholders within the business to source, design and support delivery of all Early Careers solutions (including Work Experience, Apprenticeships, Graduate Level Apprenticeships and Graduates), enabling strategic priorities to be delivered.


  • Support full life cycle delivery of current and future Early Careers solutions. Identify, develop and maintain a strong pipeline of talent to ensure future growth in-line with site and corporate strategy and direction.
  • Day to day management of Early Careers population under guidance of Early Careers Manager, to include but not limited to: reviews, placement scheduling, college and work-based learning and progression to substantive post.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the business, HR /L&D and wider industry ensuring a positive Early Careers brand
  • Work with the EC Manager to ensure our Early Careers programmes are delivered in line with both group and local business requirements to deliver against desired capability outcomes of the business
  • Support promotion of new/alternative apprentice options to the business sectors
  • Work with Early Careers colleagues in other sites to encourage consistent ways of working to encourage a consistent approach to developing early careers programmes
  • Work with graduates to maintain our annual work experience programme while continually improving the experience for students aged 15-18

Required Competencies

  • Capable of operating at all levels, working in partnership with key stakeholders
  • A strategic thinker with an ambitious approach and a commitment to quality
  • Managing a diverse workload; highly organised to design and plan a wide range of short, medium and long term EC activities
  • A wealth of experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Experience of developing and executing Graduate and Apprentice programmes in line with business and professional accreditations standards
  • CIPD Chartered level (or working towards)
