I recruit for a FTSE 250 Organisation who are the largest integrated education support service provider in the UK. They combine the best commercial practice with the values and principles of the public sector, working with schools, extended services, local authorities, colleges, settings, government departments and agencies to improve the life chances of children and young people.

They are currently looking to recruit a Governance Administrator to provide high quality administrative support to the Governance Consultancy Team.


Key Accountabilities:

  • High quality administration support of the governance training programme, which includes booking venues, managing bookings on online CPD system, liaising with venues and trainers, photocopying course materials and collating training course packs and recording evaluations
  • Taking calls on the governance helpline and signposting as required
  • Monitoring the governance email helplines and responding as appropriate
  • Offering general administrative support to other members of the governance team, including the maintenance of manual and computerised records and filing.
  • Efficiently process letters, reports and data as required.
  • Ensure office administration is maintained effectively with regard to meetings, telephone calls, scanning, photocopying, mail sorting.
  • Update web based resources/information
  • Experience within the administrative and customer focused field
  • Understanding of the education system


Qualifications/and or equivalent experience:

  • Educated to a good standard of education, minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English at C grade or above
  • Experience as a school governor or clerk to governors would be welcomed.
  • Experience within the administrative and customer focused field

  • Ability to prioritise and use initiative
  • Efficient storage/retrieval and manipulation of data
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of information.
  • Good communication skills - verbal, written and listening and inter-personal skills
