Goods-In Inspector

Up to £21 p/hour PAYE

My client is seeking an experienced Goods-In Inspector to join their busy Fareham based team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering goods-in and ERP systems.

Duties:

  • Inspection and test of components purchased or manufactured by the company.
  • Responsible for inspection and test of product from the manufacturing and supplier process, including:
    • Dimensional verification
    • Insulation Resistance
    • Electrical characteristics
    • Thermal characteristics
    • CMM measurement
    • Shadow graph use
    • Dimensional verification
  • The candidate must be able to interpret Engineering Drawings and Specifications
  • The ability to use a wide range of hand measuring tools, test and inspection equipment is essential e.g. digital callipers, micrometre, gauging, height gauge, ICY gauge, shadow graph, digital volt meter, dielectric tester, CMM.
  • To work closely with the Operations and Quality Engineering teams to ensure product & parts are inspected/tested in a timely manner to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Creation of Quality Notifications for non-conforming products, using the company SAP system.
  • Accept First Article Inspection Reports to the requirements of AS9102 from Supply Chain
  • Ensure deliver documentation satisfies the company and regulatory requirements
  • Dimensional inspection and compilation of FAI reports to Customer/Aerospace standards
  • Creation of accurate and detailed test reports
