Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer (React)
Location: London
Rate: Up to £550 based on relevant experience
Duration: 3-6 months

Would you like to join Europe's most popular broadcasting and media brands? Our client is looking for talented Full Stack Developers within Java and React.

You will be based on site working with one of the UK's most digital organisations and leading the way in entertainment. With over 20 million customers at the heart of everything they do the scope and impact of your work is limitless. As a team, they're not afraid to try new technologies and new ways of working.

Our client is a mature team who are strong practitioners of TDD and pair programming. We strive to continuously improve by using a variety of Agile techniques taken from XP, Kanban and Scrum. They value everyone, regardless of their experience and encourage them to have a voice and contribute to the team.

They're looking for Full Stack developers who are keen to collaborate in cross-functional teams as well as expand their skill set across new technologies and cloud platforms such as Kubernetes - now extensively used across our new application estate.

Your technical skills:

  • A passion for Agile methodologies and concepts such Lean, and Kanban as well as XP practices including pair programming, TDD and BDD
  • Proven delivery experience of high volume, high availability, large-scale backend system
  • High level experience Java, IntelliJ IDEA and Spring boot Framework
  • Experience with React Framework
  • Experience with Testing tools (JUnit, Cucumber, Gatling) & mock frameworks (Mockito) - or equivalent
  • Experience RESTful APIs
  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Delivery practices
  • Experience with Couchbase, MongoDB or other No SQL databases
  • Experience with Microservices Architecture
  • Some experience of Groovy
