UI Developer, Front End, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React.JS, Redux, Node.JS, ES6, TDD, BDD

Fancy working for a large financial consultancy and outsourcing company? They are currently recruiting an experienced Front End UI Developer (React.JS/Redux) on a 3 month contract. This requirement is based in Cardiff and there is an opportunity for an extension.

UI Client Side Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience of developing applications using HTML5 responsive design
  • Strong experience with CSS3 and CSS pre-processors
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and working with JS frameworks / node.js
  • Strong experience of working with AJAX / JSON
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and its application
  • Strong understanding of TDD with experience of automated unit testing using mock object frameworks.
  • Knowledge of SCM tools like GIT / Perforce
  • Knowledge of tools like SonarQube, Grunt/gulp, npm
  • Working knowledge of Javascript unit testing
  • Knowledge of Network Performance optimisation

Skills Required:

  • React JS. Skills
  • redux
  • npm/NodeJS
  • JS ES6
  • HTML 5
  • CSS 3 (knowledge in Bootstrap, Sass/Less a plus)

Responsibilities include:

  • As directed, work on specific areas or end to end from concept creation through to working with developers and ensuring the design work is effectively implemented and looks great before it goes live
  • Create visual designs including customer journey flows, prototypes, screen designs, assets and detailed specs
  • Craft pixel perfect UI designs
  • Work closely with UX designers throughout the design process
  • Champion a user centered design methodology
  • Help to improve our design process
  • Work with the existing pattern library, updating and evolving where needed
  • Work collaboratively and build successful relationships with, product managers, data team, developers, business analysts, solutions architects and stakeholders
