A UX-UI Developer & Designer is required to provide development and design deliverables and to ensure that work is properly attributed and completed to a sufficient quality.

Position Overview;
Our Central Government client based in London are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include creation of UI/UX design wireframes and their subsequent translation to the actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the overriding design team and bridge the gap between them and technical implementation to suit a different user base, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. Your primary focus will be to implement a complete user interface in the form of a desktop web app with a focus on performance. Your main duties will include creating modules, components and services and coupling them together into a functional app that communicates with the back-end via REST APIs. You will work on a team with back-end developers, one other front end developer, QA engineers, devops engineers, and software architects. The role will serve a wide and varied government user base.

This role would suit a front end developer with some UI design experience seeking to move into UX design. It is a mixture of UI Design (prototyping, digital design, interaction models) and Front End Development (Angular.js, node.js, Angular 8 / 9, ngx-bootstrap, scss, HTML, HTML5). Therefore, the UI Designer / Developer will build user interfaces with Angular and, at the same time, receive general guidance on style and components from a separate workstream. The aim is to create a unified experience across multiple applications for end users. You will be working within a rainbow team of multiple suppliers and skill sets with a focus on achieving CI and releases to production with increasing frequency. In particular, the UI Designer / Developer will be expected to interpret design briefs into wireframes and web designs using front end coding language. As a UI Designer, you will work as part of the Design function alongside UX, but will be embedded within a cross-functional team to ensure close interaction between users and those working to satisfy their needs. You will be required to act in a creative and problem-solving capacity, clearly convey ideas and produce assets. You will not be afraid to challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inelegant designs.
