My client, a leading Pharmaceuticals company based in High Wycombe, is currently seeking an FP&A analyst to join their finance team on a 5 month contract.
You should ideally be available or on a maximum of 2 week's notice.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Finance Manager this role is an integral part of the UK Finance FP&A team. This role will involve business support and analysis both locally and globally.
The successful candidate should have a strong analytical mind-set and should be confident in representing FP&A Finance UK and the businesses at a local and global level. They should have the ability to develop strong business relationships across different countries and in varying areas of the business. They should be proficient in financial analysis, financial reporting and be willing to occasional travel within the role.

Key responsibilities:

* Take a lead role in month and quarter end closing processes in accordance with US GAAP principles
* Timely and accurate reporting and monitoring of actual and budget data
* Maintaining and monitoring accurate financial master data
* Ensuring compliance with all SOX requirements
* Main contact for annual statutory audits
* Responsibility for R&D tax credits
* Business partner to the Facilities Management team
* Overall responsibility for the effective execution of the Global R&D user access and segregation of duties process and cross system review
* Overall responsibility for the annual review of Global R&D journal and accrual thresholds
* Participation in ad hoc projects, initiatives and analysis, both locally and globally
* Some travel requirements within Europe and US

Qualifications and Experience:

* Full professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
* Relevant post qualification experience
* Strong influencing & communication skills with the ability to lead conversations with senior team members
* Experience of working in an environment with both a local and global focus
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and also Adobe
* SAP experience
