Project Support - Financial Controller Central London Excellent Salary and benefitsWe are looking for an experienced Project Support Officer with extensive budget and financial management experience to join our client - a world leading financial services company - based in Central London. Working in the Service Delivery team your role will be to deliver support at a cross-portfolio and programme level to implement effective project management + governance processes to help drive an effective delivery organisation. You'll lead the central portfolio cost management, focusing on forecasting and actual reporting of all projects to support forward planning, budgeting and road-mapping.Role Overview: The Service Delivery team delivers stable operational services in a cost effective and adequate manner for applications in scope and IT infrastructure including onsite IT and provider management. Clear focus on continuous service delivery optimisation, standardisation and automation.The Service Delivery Portfolio team is being created to efficiently manage the overall SD portfolio of programmes, own and develop a 3-year rolling roadmap and drive the execution of complex cross-tower change.Specific Responsibilities:Provides project support for all project related tasks, especially for project administration and communication.Uses and recommends project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking projects.Sets up and provides guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniquesSupports the definition of project KPIs, i.e. earned valueSupports in the organisation, execution and follow-up of project meetingsMonitors costs, timescales and resources used, and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances Assists with the compilation of project management reportsMaintains project files from supplied actual and forecast data (i.e. presentations, analysis, reports, statistics) Gathers and consolidates project related information REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Essential:Previous experience of working in a programme office environment desirable.Previous portfolio budget and financial management desirableHigh Level of detail orientation resulting in the mapping and management of project and programme dependencies.Strong analytical, facilitation, presentation and multidisciplinary communication skillsConsulting and collaborative working style creating a culture of accountability and sharingA high degree of commitment and the willingness and ability to master the various tasks is essentialDesirable Qualifications:Project Management Qualifications: Agile, Prince2, PMP.
