Financial ControllerPermanent £65,000 - £70,000Shepshed We are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join a FTSE100 aerospace and defence engineering business based in Shepshed, Leicestershire. The organisation is a global leader in the manufacture of aerospace components and subsystems used in both civil and military aircraft. With revenues over £2.B and employing over 12,000 people across the UK they deliver solutions in the most challenging of environments.The Financial Controller will be a senior leader of the site finance team. They will be required to support and partner with the wider business ensuring finance information is clearly communicated, understood and variances acted upon. They will need a solid understanding of the operational business they support and will need to be able to adapt to changing business priorities.Key Responsibilities Lead a team of 3 qualified Management AccountantsAct as a finance business partner with the business ensuring key financial metrics are communicated and understoodPrepares annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting, variance analysis and articulation of financial resultsDelivers month end financials, period to period variance analysis, and key metrics reportingFinance lead for investment papers associated with footprint activity, ensuring post implementation reviews completedEnsures robust processes are in place and actively work to improve and streamline where possibleAccurately reports the financial results of operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Education Professional finance Qualification (CIMA/ ACCA/ACA) with minimum of 3 years post qualified experienceSkillsAbility to manage multiple demands and prioritise effectivelyStrong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor a teamEngage and influence a wide range of stakeholders to ensure financial commitments are understood and agreedStrong excel and ERP skills (SAP)Manufacturing/engineering industry experience highly desirablePersonal resilience and an ability to work under pressureProven ability to improve processesExcellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence The organisation offer a supportive environment to allow their teams to achieve, including enhanced employment terms and conditions, a host of excellent flexible benefits and a clear and achievable career development plan.
