There is a fantastic opportunity to join a Private Equity backed international events business, who offer world class events for the business to business community particularly those working in enterprise technology and digital.

They are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Financial Controller to join the team and work closely with the CFO. Huge opportunities to go through a sale transaction and progress to Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month end process.
  • Direct management of Finance Manager (based in Bristol), indirect 2 credit controllers.
  • Ownership & control of annual budgeting process plus subsequent re-forecasts.
  • Primary contact for the statutory audit.
  • Supporting the CFO with Board pack reporting & ad-hoc investor requests.
  • Consolidation of all 8 legal entities.
  • Ownership of financial business model / 5-year plan.
  • Lead the year-end process, with responsibility for all statutory filings and tax submissions, working with our international advisors where needed.
  • Partnering internally with other Departments to build rapport and improve processes.
  • Ad-hoc modelling/reporting as required by the business.
  • Involvement in process improvement/projects e.g. operating system, payment provider changes.
  • Assisting in the implementation of the new ERP system.

Requirements:

  • ACA/CIMA qualified.
  • 1-2 years PQE within industry.
  • SME experience to understand the nuances of small businesses and be able to step in and hit the ground running.
  • Excellent technical accounting and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Management experience would be preferable.
  • Ability to travel to Bristol up to twice a week.
