Purpose:

To support the UK based accounting function. The business has recently undergone a period of significant growth which includes a SAP implementation, so an individual comfortable and capable of operating during times of exciting, positive change is essential.

Specific responsibilities:

Support the delivery of robustfinancials, as well as driving their improvement through business partnering with the site team
- Balance sheet reconciliations including complex intercompany analysis and query resolution
- Review of internal control processes and the development of Standard Operating Procedures for SAP and non-SAP activities
- Support the implementation of reporting and control process improvements
- Support for timely month end deliverables to PLC HQ
- Support for internal & external financial audits , and ensure the financial control environment is consistent with the Finance Policy, GAAP and/or IFRS
- Support data integrity to support platform/program profitability analysis

Key skills and competencies required:

Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA / CCAB)
Experienced Finance Manager
Good communication & presentation skills
Willingness to adopt a hands-on ethic
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Ability to develop & maintain good working relationships with colleagues across all levels and functions within the business
Must be flexible and willing to work extra hours required to ensure deadlines are met
Self-motivated, well organised, ensures their personal and department goals are met
Highly computer literate, with advanced Excel skills advantageous

Preferred criteria:

Manufacturing background
SAP experience is essential
BFC experience would be advantageous (Business & Finance Consulting?)
Large corporate experience advantageous
