Here at Babcock International we are seeking an experienced an experienced analytical and methodical Financial Analyst.
This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to mould and tailor the structure and overall shape of the role as this is a brand new position within Babcock International.
You will be the dedicated SME for the design and upkeep of an excel forecasting model that generates a P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statement. An expectation of working closely with finance teams across various business streams to gain an understanding of the wider organisation is essential.


Overview of responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for Group submissions of Forecasts and Budgets on SAP BPC
  • Work on and drive continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of forecasting and financial planning
  • Challenge inputs to forecasts provided by the finance teams as appropriate to improve the quality of the forecasting process
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager in preparing forecasting timetables and delivering forecasts in accordance with Group timelines for BITL


What we would like you to have:
A fully qualified accountant preferably "CIMA" accredited but open to others.
We would also like you to hold some or all of the following:
· Good level of commercial acumen
· Have experience of financial forecasting and planning
· Be prepared to learn system functionality to improve efficiency of reporting
· Experience working within a fast paced UK plc. Environment
