The client is now about to embark in the next phase of Finance Transformation which will involve implementing the new organization structure as well as the new Finance System. The client is looking for a Training & Development specialist to develop the Finance team in readiness for new ways of working including the transition to the new Finance and Business Services operation model, adoption of the new technology and a renewed focus on customer service.

Candidate Specification

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct skills gap and training gap analysis to support design of interventions which will equip the Finance and Business Services teams with the right skills, knowledge and capability
  • Responsible for mapping capability requirements for new and updated roles in Finance and Business Services
  • Responsible for preparing training needs analysis for all Finance and Business Services teams.
  • Working with key stakeholders to understand the requirements and ongoing strategic aims to translate into effective delivery plans
  • Prepare the training strategy for Finance and Business Services and Finance related systems (in consultation with the CSR Training manager)
  • Defining learning interventions for the Finance and Business Services teams
  • Managing the preparation / Commissioning of training materials
  • Manage the delivery of learning activities to the Finance and Business Services community
  • Provide individual coaching activity to certain specified roles
  • Provide regular updates to the Finance Senior Leadership Team; Finance Transformation Lead; and the Finance Transformation program manager
  • Schedule training sessions, organise information technology and other equipment, and manage course enrolment

Learning & Development Experience

  • Experience of Training needs analysis and design and delivery of development interventions for Finance role
  • Experience of Transformation in a Public sector environment preferably in Education of a similar or larger size
  • Broader experience of professional Services operating models, process design and change programmes
  • Experience of training for adoption of new Finance systems
  • Experience of management development and a variety of training and development techniques
  • Experience of creating team building interventions
  • Consulting and collaboration skills - Can work closely with internal and external Stakeholders
  • Good Communication - Written and Verbal
