My client is a leading global business communications provider with a focus on multinational companies. They are a £5.1bn revenue business which supplies ICT services to 5,500 organisations worldwide.
They are currently seeking a Finance Manager to fulfil a 3-6 month interim contract assignment based in the City of London.
You should ideally be immediately available or on a maximum of 2 weeks notice.


· Finance lead for a large global account
· Support various global banking contracts in particular monitoring and forecasting transition costs and associated risks.
· Drive financial strategy and set budget and forecasts in partnership with the business
· Agreeing sector / account financial objective while both supporting and challenging the management and improvement of contract profitability
· Working with business management teams to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities, product mix improvement opportunities etc
· Interpretation and communication of financial reports, analyses to BU management / ops / sales teams, with focus on required actions in response
· Review and approval of new business opportunities, investments and bids
· Review, challenge, and where appropriate, approval of credits and commercial settlements with customers in line with the relevant delegation of authority
· Own financial relationship with external customers. Lead financial negotiations with the customer or agree direction with Commercial Finance; influence commercial & operational elements of bids and in-life contract and product performance
· Drive cost transformation pipeline and delivery, working with operational team to ensure achievement of targets, and appropriate transparency of opportunities and risks
· Implement appropriate Governance and controls over their account / sector (e.g. ensuring Sarbanes Oxley compliance)
· Review of Working capital & capex expenditure working with the business team to maximise cashflow and ROI.
· Maintain close working relationships with the Client partner and Contract Commercial teams maintaining the financial integrity of the customer account end to end.
· Ensuring colleagues and line management are kept informed of key risks, opportunities and material changes to contract financials.


· Building strong and enduring relationships with the Business Management Team in order to understand the business drivers within forecast and actual performance.
· Become an effective business partner who supports and challenges as appropriate.
· Interpretation of financial and other business reports and using the information to assist achievement of the account/sector performance
· Establishes and maintains personal credibility and inspires confidence in customers, colleagues and business partners.
· Ensuring delivery against required deadlines.

· Responds quickly and commercially to changing situations, priorities and business needs.

· This role would best suit an ambitious and driven ACA/ACCA qualified accountant who has a strong audit focus to their experience who trained and qualified within a Big 4 or Top 10 firm
· In addition to significant financial audit experience, the candidate would have IT systems and data analytics audit experience
· A background in and understanding of the banking / financial services industry is very important for this role.
· Advanced Excel skills, ideally with Oracle and Hyperion/HFM systems experience
