My client, a well known Telco company based in Central London, is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join them on a 12 month contract.
Candidates must hold current DV level clearance due to this role being based on a secure site.


· Leads the management accounting and financial reporting requirements for a standalone Global Services business unit. Leads month end reporting cycle and budgetary and financial control activities.
· Leads Balance Sheet & Net Cash Flow management, setting policy & processes and driving financial performance of working capital and net cash flows.
· Owns relationship & influences at Head of Finance, Security Financial Controller and Security FD.
· Resource management responsibility for the Reporting & Controls side of the Finance team, leading a team of one Finance Analyst and five team members.


Financial Reporting
· Leads financial reporting for a standalone unit across four ledgers. Sets policy & process for financial management and reporting.
· Runs the month end process, ensuring timely completion of deadlines and 'right first time' accuracy. Organises and leads their team, plus liaises with stakeholders outside of direct team, to ensure inputs received accurately.
· Leads preparation of month end financial reporting outputs (including ad-hoc requests) and supports preparation of informal outputs to brief stakeholders.
· Owns variance commentary for the unit, leading on consolidating and nuancing messaging to produce quality outputs.
· Leads overall forecast / BRF submissions for the business unit, pulling together resources from Finance and non-Financial stakeholders and leading the team to prepare templates. Liaises with GS Centre to ensure accurate submission and supporting collateral prepared.

Balance Sheet & Cash Flow
· Owns the balance sheet for the business unit, ensuring that fixed asset balances and working capital balances are accurate and up-to-date.
· Leads on cash & working capital commentary and attends regular working capital calls with Centre.
· Leads on setting policy for cash collection, and leads the team to manage debtors to within target debtor days levels for the business unit. Escalates payment issues where required.

Control Environment
· Owns the control environment for the business unit, maintaining the SOX controls register, ensuring compliance is documented and policies are up-to-date.
· Ensures that accounting policies and governance and wider UK accounting standards are followed and a consistent approach is maintained.
· Leads the process for all audit return preparation, reviewing team work to ensure accuracy and ensuring deadlines are met.
· Meets any / all internal or external audit requests as required.

Team Management
· Leads a team of one manager grade and five team members, setting goals, leading development activities and providing feedback where required.
· Ensures that management responsibilities are maintained, and team job descriptions and standards are kept up-to-date.

· Covers ad-hoc financial requests from stakeholders as required.
· Contributes towards the development of Business Unit / functional finance strategy.
· Knowledge of financial process and specific financial systems. Strong core finance knowledge.
· Ownership for delivery of planning, facilitation and completion of finance programmes.
· Suggests resolution to complex issues and across boundaries (guidance sought in most cases) and/or advises on specialist area.

Experience and Professional Qualifications
· Typically degree level or equivalent.
· Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or similar)
· Significant PQE and significant experience in Big 4 / industry.
· Prior experience in a similar position
· Current DV level clearance
