My client, a well-known technology company based in the City of London, is currently seeking a Big4 trained qualified Finance Director to join their team on a 6-month contract.
You should ideally be immediately available or on a maximum of 1 week's notice.

Job Description:

This role supports the Engineering teams and is responsible for partnering with and providing all financial information to support the team in meeting its objectives and drive informed business decision-making.
The successful candidate will need to build strong relationships with the local engineering team, be creative, have the ability to think on their feet and engage with their key stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Finance partner to the Engineering Leadership Teams
  • Lead the delivery of financial and operational support to drives informed business decision-making
  • Support the investment process, partnering with the local teams.
  • Oversee financial reporting, planning and forecasting to ensure clear line of sight of the cost to deliver investments
  • Management of three Finance Managers - Ability to manage, develop and motivate direct reports

Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies:

  • Fully qualified accountant, ideally from a Big4 background
  • 8+ years of experience, preferably within Technology or Financial Services
  • Influencing and leading a multitude of stakeholders in the business and finance
  • Customer-focused with a commercial mindset
  • Tenacious and driven by delivering results, driving change
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resources, ability to adapt to change
  • Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, global business environment.
  • Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting
  • Expert level with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
