Main Purpose of Role:

This Contract role is within the Central FP&A Expense team which is responsible for all consolidation activities that impact the total client business, including monthly reporting, planning and investment reporting, with a particular focus on expenses.

This role will run the Profitability Insight work, oversee central planning activities, e.g. plan analysis and flexing as well as contribute to month end and year end activity. Additionally, the role will lead on project work within the team and ad hoc analysis. Interaction with the broader FP&A finance team and other groups such as Accounting Operations is an important aspect of the role.

Successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, experience of working in a changing environment and demonstrate the ability to work on several projects/deliverables at the same time.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for managing the Profitability Insight analysis, i.e. the allocation of shared costs to Proposition / Product.
  • Contribute to the annual planning cycle, particularly analysing submissions and preparing presentation materials. Includes responsibility for coordination of planning activities across the organization, and management of currency flexing, plan transfers and restatements.
  • Ad hoc reporting requests and point of contact for client Finance process and analytical queries.
  • Partner with wider Finance Groups to achieve accurate and timely deliverables. Develop solid relationships with all areas of the business and be an effective and trusted partner.
  • Drive process improvements through identifying and leveraging best practice across the organization.

Key Relationships:

  • Wider Central FP&A Team (e.g. Revenue, Productivity and Cashflow)
  • All Functional FP&A Teams, e.g. Tech, Proposition, Customer Operations etc
  • Controllership, Accounting Ops and CoE team in India

Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies:

  • Extensive experience gained in Management Accounting or Performance Management roles. Well versed with accounting and financial reporting.
  • Extremely organized with ability to multi task and prioritize efforts.
  • Excellent communication and people skills. Ability to openly and confidently converse with senior management and influence all areas of the business
  • Self-starter with the ability to drive a project without close guidance or supervision
  • Ability to synthesize information and present results in a clear and concise manner to senior executives
  • Financial systems experience a plus (SAP/Hyperion)

Education/ Certifications:

  • Professional Finance Qualification - e.g. CIMA/ACA or equivalent
