The successful candidate will have a can do attitude who is driven and motivated to develop their career in a business unit that is currently growing and providing opportunities for individuals who strive to take them.In the role you will be responsible for supporting the production of the monthly financial accounts and reporting requirements for Mission Systems Devonport contracts, along with contributing to the businesses forecasting and adding ongoing financial support to the operational project teams. The role includes being the primary Accountant for the allocated contracts, including attending monthly and quarterly contract reviews led by the Programme Lead and producing quarterly reports presented at board level. What you must have:We would like you to be Part Qualified accountant and ideally a finalist.Experience in a customer facing Accounting role, ideally with some exposure in project accounting or at a minimum Management Accounts.Excellent Excel Skills (use of lookups and pivot tables). Macros preferable.
