This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading FTSE listed wholesale business to sit within the commercial Finance Team as a Business Partner. You will:

  • Build close partnerships with Regional Directors to monitor and drive business performance within each branch, providing strategic insight and data driven decision making.
  • Using data sets to explore insights and produce reporting decks. You will be communicating frequently with Directors of Departments to gather information and report back to the Director of FP&A.
  • You will be responsible for delivering the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Working on budgets with each department to ensure maximum performance.
  • You will be the key finance point of contact for budget holders, providing insightful and added value information with the aim of improving business performance.
  • Ensure month-end financial reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner, providing appropriate insight and recommendations.
  • Responsible for the design, development and management of robust bottom up monthly, quarterly and annual budgets.
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI for various investment decisions
  • Support the business with the implementation of its strategy and attend regional meetings to provide financial updates.

In terms of you…

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent). 3+ PQE experience.
  • Experience within retail/wholesale would be preferable but not essential.
  • Sharp, intelligent and proven ability to liaise successfully and confidently with non-finance departments.
  • Accurate, with thorough attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to connect with partners, building effective relationships.
  • Ability to draw key business conclusions from analysis and anticipate scenarios.
