Here at Babcock International, we are looking to recruit a Finance Business Analyst for a new permanent opportunity working within our corporate services business unit, headquartered in Portsmouth.

About the role

Reporting to the Neptune Finance & Contract Management Business Process Owner this role performs activities in line with release delivery plans to support the deployment and integration of an SAP solution to Babcock businesses. \the role will work closely with our central finance teams, understanding and taking requirements, and working with our implementation project teams deliver them.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Organisation and facilitation of workshops in support of business design workshop activities
    * Translation of business process requirements to enable the technical team to deliver a solution which is fit for purpose
    * Work alongside the solution team to provide business context and input to process design
    * Ensuring business understand and are prepared for the impact of change resulting from a move to SAP
    * Development of release business scenarios for use in testing
    * Work alongside the solution team to complete system testing
    * Development and delivery of training materials
    * Working alongside the Reporting, Support and Shared Services Teams
    * Providing post go live business support

Additional Key Accountabilities:

  • Supporting the Change team in development of the Target Operating Model and Work Access Profiles
    * Assisting the business in development of local documentation required to support the change to SAP

What do I need to do the role?

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Background in business finance
  • Full or part qualification in accounting and finance (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in the use of Microsoft Office 2010 suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio.
  • The role requires an ability to engage actively in a proactive manner with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate how they will have achieved this previously in a complex and demanding business where the views of the stakeholders may not necessarily be aligned.
  • A problem solver with the ability to organise a solution under pressure and explain it clearly to all stakeholders
