Facilities Technician

Property Services/Water Hygiene

Permanent, Full Time 37Hrs

The Role

To undertake and complete facilities works including legionella tasks across the site. This will involve weekly flushing, monthly temperature, six monthly tank inspections, etc. All readings and updates must be correctly recorded and reported ensuring any defects or changes are bought to the attention of the sites designated Responsible Person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake key facilities and legionella tasks for the site; flushing, temperature readings, and inspections
  • Update and record all actions, escalating any key issues
  • Assist with actions following on from site risk assessments. implementation and monitoring of control regimes and tracking of ongoing performance
  • Support with other duties, including Fire Alarm Testing, Fire Door Inspections, and Utility Readings
  • Maintain an understanding of changes in legislation, Codes of Practice and guidance
  • Provide support for other sites when necessary

Key Capabilities and Knowledge

  • Understanding and experience of Legionella management
  • Excellent IT skills and literate on MS office suite
  • Organised, driven and enthusiastic with a positive 'can do' attitude
  • Advanced communication skills both written and verbal

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Relevant and up to date Legionella qualifications
  • Proven track record of time management, organisation and problem solving skills
  • IOSH Qualifications would greatly benefit your application
