Facilities and Supply Chain Planner

The work location is in Cheltenham and is a 12 Month Contract role.


My client has developed a team to create an adaptable, contemporary, world class supply chain manufacturing facility which allows us to meet customer expectations now and in the future. This is a multi-million-dollar project which aims to consolidate Power manufacturing under one building and drive synergies across support functions and the rest of the campus. The Production Manager will be responsible for all aspects of facilities planning and implementation from concept to completion. Working with various multi-disciplined teams and suppliers to provide facilities for the next twenty years.

Main Tasks and Activities:

  • Work cross-functionally through collaboration with Production teams, Programs, Customers and suppliers to create and execute the implementation plan for the new production facility
  • Utilize lean tool kit to identify and eliminate sources of waste in both manufacturing, material movements and transactional processes
  • Facilitate discussions on layouts, improvements and use continuous improvement tools to develop efficient production lines
  • Create facilities requirements for areas and buildings
  • Support Program Leader in the strategic development and planning of manpower, equipment and other resources to achieve timelines
  • Assist in the develop of production line layouts and facilities for various manufacturing lines

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent relevant experience of production process and material flow
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with proven ability to communicate to customers and across multiple functional areas of the business
  • Effective Program Manager
  • Influence internal customers through presentation of data
  • Lead initiatives of broad business transformation scope and impact
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
  • Ability to plan and manage equipment and people moves

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and projects
  • Experience in building facilities and planning advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Experience in facilities management and AutoCad advantageous
  • Understanding of risks involved in production line moves and support risk mitigation activities for a smooth transition
