Event Manager (IT based) - Leeming, North Yorkshire, 12 Months.

My client is looking for an Event Manager (IT based) for a project in Leeming, North Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will hold valid and active SC clearance. The role will be based in Leeming and may occasionally require travel to customer sites.

Role Responsibilities:

Event Managers must have subject matter expert-level knowledge of the BMC suite of services and experience in Relevant Technology listed:

  • Whatsup Gold
  • BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Manager
  • BMC Discovery
  • BMC Remedy
  • Net IM
  • ARX
  • Portal

The Event Management Services shall include:

  • raising and responding to Alerts, Events and Incidents, including handing off each of these to the relevant Resolver Group or service desk
  • (B) supporting the Authority to develop best practices (and if the Authority requests, implementing such practices) in relation to:
  • (C) configuration of relevant systems with respect to Events and Alerts; and
  • (D) activities which will result in the detection, notification, filtering and correlation of all Events and Alerts;
  • (E) liaising and working collaboratively with the Authority and Authority Third Parties to identify appropriate monitoring thresholds for Alerts and Events, including network, infrastructure, application and facilities monitoring;
  • (F) engineering and managing Event Management Dashboards;
  • (G) identifying circumstances where an Alert is required and configuring Alerts to meet the requirements of the Event Management Service stakeholders;
  • (H) raise and make available Event Records and reports on a monthly basis as part of the Monthly Service Management Reviews; and
  • (I) if the Supplier detects an Event that has an impact on, or may have an impact on:
  • (i) the Authority; or
  • (ii) any Authority Third Party, the Supplier shall notify Authority, and in the case of Paragraph 2.7.3(I)(ii), the Authority and the relevant Authority Third Party, on a near real-time basis

Key Performance Indicators

  • Makes a recognized technical contribution to business approval meetings.
  • Consistently produces designs, which require minimal (<10%) rework, following peer review.
  • Provides evidence that demonstrates defining the technical scope in order to ensure an acceptable cost structure.
  • Can evidence feedback from customer forums, conferences, professional bodies, etc. which demonstrates a personal contribution to building the client's reputation in the marketplace.
