Event Manager - Human Rights Functions

Experis are currently recruiting to a unique opportunity to join a major client based in London as an Event Manager within their philanthropic business area. This is a permanent position; perfect for individuals with a passion for human rights.

Our client holds an incredibly high-profile annual conference focused on human rights; featuring guest speakers from all over the world, with notable delegates in attendance. In addition to this, you would be responsible for the effective management of multiple smaller events and functions throughout the year.

Typical duties will include:

  • Managing cost relating to the conference and keeping any relevant trackers/spreadsheets up to date; providing regular updates to the event director and the finance team
  • Acting as main point of contact between suppliers, speakers and internal teams
  • Managing the organisation of the pre-conference VIP Dinner, including sending out invites, managing RSVPs, finalising catering and venue logistics
  • Coordinating between conference speakers and travel agencies & hotels to book speaker travel (air + ground travel), accommodation and any other liaison support for speakers required.

We are looking to speak to candidates with a strong background within events coordination/management, and a genuine interest in human rights matters.

You should also have:

  • High level of experience or knowledge of human rights as a topic
  • Extensive experience in managing the logistics of large scale events/conferences
  • Confident communicator as you will be regularly liaising with senior members of staff and high-profile guests.
