Enterprise Information Architect

An Enterprise Information Architect is required to join a Global, Blue-chip company, based in London. The Enterprise Information Architect will define company-wide approaches to information architecture. The group is seeking a self-starting, highly-motivated individual who combines information architecture skills with an ability to synthesize and communicate abstract principles in an engaging and understandable way to a variety of stakeholders.

The Enterprise Information Architect' responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Working with business-case owners to understand and elaborate the information outcomes they seek, converting those into new-build requirements, adjustments to IA standards, and transition approaches for existing capabilities
  • Working with Enterprise Architecture and Architecture Communities of Practice to recommend and get approval for Information Architecture policies & standards
  • Working as an advisor to platform capability requirements and engineering teams on information standards and approaches
  • Working as a reviewing architect as part of technical governance processes
  • Acting as a representative for the company with external standards bodies, research groups and technology partners or suppliers, and with customers.

Interested applicants will either be an Enterprise Information Architect in the sense of working to improve standardization, improve governance and reduce friction between systems (in the information supply chain), rather than organize information within specific systems or projects, or a semantic modelling, ontology specialist who is familiar with large-scale information problems and use of ontologies in a closed-world scenario.
