Engineering/Maintenance Planner - Castle Donington - 1 month

The work location is in Castle Donington and is a 1 month contract.

The pay rate on offer is £22 per hour.

The role is working for a well established, multi-national retailer and specialises in clothing, home and luxury product.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Develop and implement a preventative & corrective maintenance strategy moving towards a predictive & condition based approach.
  • Own the entire Engineering Planning process for the client's automation at Castle Donington.
  • Ensure the plan is aligned to the manufacturer's & professional industry standards at all time.
  • Co-ordinate legal/ compliance and inspection testing for all automation assets, tools and equipment.
  • Maintain maintenance records for all the automation equipment in line with legislative requirements & best practice.
  • Liaise with Operations, Flow Room, Planning & SSI to plan and schedule planned and corrective maintenance
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and best practice; ensure changes to regulations are implemented effectively and all planned documentation is updated.
  • Liaise with external equipment manufacturers and 3rd party maintenance providers.
  • Work closely with Data & CMMS Engineer & Technical Asset Engineers to analyse failures and ensure a closed loop approach to improving maintenance regimes & consistently meet the required level of performance and reliability.
  • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement.

Key skills and experience

  • Qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer with and relevant experience across Automated system.
  • Experience of using a CMMS system for planning maintenance
  • Good understanding of automated Hanging solutions & their standard maintenance regimes.
  • Up to date knowledge of compliance/ legal regulations for automated systems.
  • Experience in planning and prioritisation within a CMMS system (desirable to have working knowledge of Apipro)
  • Strong communication skills particularly with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Able to manage competing priorities
  • Able to analyse problems and identify solutions
