I am recruiting an experienced Engineering Lifecycle Planner to work for a FTSE 250, global engineering support services organisation in Medway. This role functions within their Defence Division, which provides vital engineering services to key clients, such as the Ministry of Defence.

The Engineering Lifecycle Planner will plan, co-ordinate and support the delivery of forward maintenance planning, asset replacement and lifecycle cost activities across the contract. The projects undertaken will principally be in relation to building refurbishments where the successful candidate will provide expertise and advice to asset management and maintenance management teams on lifecycle planning and best practice.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identification, implementation and development of forward maintenance plans for all built assets across the contract in accordance with strategic direction.
  • Delivery of a holistic forward maintenance plan structured in accordance with industry good practice in built asset lifecycle costing, and company policy.
  • Support the successful delivery of lifecycle projects, working with the Asset Manager to implement a programme of continuous improvement in asset management.
  • Ability to deliver accurate and succinct options analysis appraisals related to asset management projects that involve asset improvement, and / or asset replacement.
  • Co-ordination of predictive maintenance strategy, multiple data sets and cross-functional communications across the contract.
  • Responsibility for incorporation of new assets from multiple projects across the contract into forward maintenance plans.
  • Production, co-ordination and presentation of asset management / lifecycle reporting data to colleagues, including senior stakeholders.

Ideal Requirements:

  • Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent qualification in construction related discipline with a mechanical or electrical bias.
  • Significant experience in asset management.
  • Proven plan maintenance and costing experience.
  • Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
