Employee Relations Advisor

£30-36k plus package

Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client a major Engineering Support Services organisation for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their HR team to provide guidance and support to managers and staff in regards to ER matters.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows -

  • Advise, guide and support managers with all matters relating to employee relations
  • Advice on practical implementation of policies and procedures
  • Responsible for day to day management of the Sickness Absence case load and ensuring all cases are managed consistently and in accordance with HR policy and best practice
  • Effective case management of people related issues such as - discrepancies, performance management, employment tribunals, grievance and absence management
  • Develop effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organisation
  • Provide advice and guidance on disciplinary and welfare cases, capability, grievance and coach managers where appropriate
  • Develop and improve current Employee Relations processes and ensure that tools are available to support front line managers to conduct ER case work where appropriate

The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -

  • Proven experience in a similar role where carrying an ER caseload
  • Good knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • Knowledge of ER procedures and processes such as employment tribunals, disability, diversity and equal opportunities
  • Proven experience of working in an Employee Relations role within a large complex organisation
  • IT literate - able to produce reports as required
  • Flexible for occasional UK travel as required by demands of this role
