Location: Warrington
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £45.00 - £50.00/hr Ltd
£34.03 - £37.76/hr PAYE
Clearance: BPSS (+ P1 pass)

We are looking for a Building Services C,E&I Engineer, who has extensive experience of:-.

  • LV Power Distribution systems
  • Earthing systems
  • Lightning Protection systems
  • Lighting systems


Preferably member of professional body (eg IET, CIBSE).
Preferably degree qualified (HNC Minimum) with 10 years relevant technical experience. Preferably with 5 years nuclear experience.
Has a minimum of 5 years recent experience of producing electrical design deliverables for Building Service systems.

Experience required

  • Building Services experience preferable with knowledge of Sellafield's processes, procedures and standards.
  • Have working knowledge and experience in applying relevant BS and EN standards applicable to the systems listed above.
  • Have working knowledge and experience in applying relevant EH&S issues as required by legislation.
  • Has presented at Designers Risk Assessments / Design Reviews.
  • Has working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks / Revit.

Provide design solutions and coordinate the production of design deliverables that will typically include:

  • Building services drawings (typically GA's, SLD's, BCD's, and Equipment Layouts)
  • Specifications (purchase, manufacture, requirements)
  • Technical Reports and Studies.
  • Production of design calculations (cable calculation utilising AMTEC software, Lighting calculation utilising Relux software, Lightning Protection calculations).
  • Manage a team of Engineers and Designers and undertake checking of Electrical drawings and design documentation.
  • Provision of technical guidance for all design work (or direct reports) in accordance with project design procedures and standards.
  • Effective utilisation of electrical design resources required to support the CE&I Responsible Engineer (RE) in meeting project programme including provision of reporting information.
  • Work with the CE&I RE to ensure appropriate engineering standards are used and that engineering solutions are fit for purpose and achievable.
  • Provide cost/timescale information and progress reporting
